Michy from accentuate services writers’ forum had posted a challenge to all within the group. I have accepted her challenge, it is easy to do. Her challenge for those of us who write for the content sites is to write at least one query or article for print a day. We need to write this article before we write our content articles on a daily basis.

The real money in this freelance writers gig is not in the content sites. At first, I was writing an article or two a week, and the money was great back in 2007 because it was extra money. Then when I was doing an article a day, that extra money was paying a bill. I foolishly quit my full time job and depended on the content sites for income. I am almost there but the amount of writing I do each day has become almost unbearable. I currently write 150 articles a month on average for a few content sites and a blog. With the meager child support I get it helps me to survive. I barely survive and do not have two nickels to rub together and that is so wrong when you are a parent. As much as I work, I should be rolling in the dough, but I am not.

The writing challenge from Michy at accentuate services will allow me to build up a print portfolio to the higher gigs. She had plenty of them listed on her site, and I have already sold one article for an on line magazine for 10 dollars. Ten dollars may not seem like much to you but it frees me up from writing two articles on one site I work on. To me it is a doable challenge and one I am so ready for.
