Miracles all around inspire us

Published by amybrowne at 10:51 pm under Inspirational Edit This

Miracles are all around us, in the things we see with our eyes, touch with our hands, and even the people we talk to on any given day. Did you ever read the poem Miracles by Walt Whitman? I analyzed this for a college English paper. It was my first time reading it, and it remains one of my favorite poems today almost five years later.

In this poem Whitman, shows us how everything around us is a miracle, from the blades of grass to the drops of water, which feed them, to the rabbits that eat from them or the humans who trample them down.  Think about it, and you will see that each of us is as much as a miracle as that blade of grass. We all begin as a single atom or molecule and stuff are added to make us become what we will be.

Sometimes we must look around our selves to see the miracles around us and they should inspire us.  When you realize the small and big miracles around us, you will know the value of such things.
