benefits of keeping a journal
Journaling is a great way to express those pent up emotions, thoughts, and feelings that dwell within a body. Journaling can very well be a great stress reliever too many people yet most people chose not to write down these feelings. Instead, they keep those feelings inside where that stress becomes tension headaches, heart attacks, and other health related maladies. Many people find writing down his or her inner most thoughts easier then telling a close friend, and this is great while you can be assured that your journal is not seen by anyone else. Perhaps those people who do not journal are not sure what to write in a journal. On your next trip to your local department or grocery store pick up a large notebook and a special pen or pencil. Truthfully, any pen or pencil will work but having a special one may be the incentive someone new to journals needs. If you dislike writing on paper, you can keep a journal on your computer. This way the benefits of journals can be started as quickly as you head to the computer. You can use any word processing program to begin a journal.Write in the journal as if you are speaking to a friend, most people who do journal find it easier to write like that. Some people even name their Journal, while some people simply begin each entry with dear friend. It does not matter what you call your journal, as long at you write in it that is all that matters. Find the time in your busy schedule each day to write in this journal, even if you can only find five minutes a day. Five minutes of stress relief daily is better then no time, on that I am sure we can all agree. Just as food is good for our bodies, writing in a journal is good for our brains. One bonus to journals that some people never stop to think about s that is can be used as a relationship or health meter. When you write in a journal, write how you think that day, emotionally and physically. Months down the road, when you read over those earlier entries in the journal, you will notice that there are some patterns. Patterns between stress and your health or your health and certain activities, and this is how I found out what was causing so many migraines for me over the years.
